Brad Daniel Rappleye

Brad has finally arrived! He was born April 6th at 9:24am. He was 8lbs 4 oz and 20 3/4 in. He sleeps most of the time but is so fun to watch when he decides to open his eyes for us! We're all doing good- Ryan and I are just trying to sleep whenever we get a chance :) This mom thing has some getting use to but it's so worth it... I love being a mom.

I"M AN AUNT!!!!

So my sister Sarah had her baby boy this past Sunday! It was amazing to watch and now I can't wait to have mine! I've only got days left and who knows... he might come early like Sarah's did! :) If you want to see pictures of my handsome little nephew, look at her blog: http://stewysred.blogspot.com/. I couldn't believe how wide-eyed and aware he was of people around him seconds after he was born. I love the pictures she posted- especially the one with his dad.

So for our baby shower invitations (Sarah & I are doing a double one), my sister came up with a cute idea of taking pictures as part of the invite. While going through the pictures, Sarah & I figured out we are not very photogenic being pregnant. I now know why all pregnant pictures are of the belly only! :) Anyways- my sisters did a great job with the invites and they turned out pretty cute. So if anyone didn't get an invitation, know that you're welcome to come this Thursday evening. And here is a picture of my now fully showing belly! This was taken at about 32 weeks.

Trip to California

My sisters and mom all went down to California for the weekend to look for baby bedding. We went to LA where there are a million fabric stores to choose from. I decided to go with blue, brown, & tan as my colors and we found the perfect material. We also found material to re-apholster the glider chair that I bought at a garage sale for $10! So with the wonderful help of my mom, we have been sewing quite a bit! While in Cali, we stayed out our family boat in Newport. My uncle was out there at the same time and took us sailing. The weather was perfect!

Update

I know it has been forever since I posted last! Everything is going good with Ryan and I. We are getting ready to start our "busy season" with our jobs where we will be working over 55 hours a week... which I am not looking forward to! So you probably won't hear from me again until we have a baby... which is only 2.5 months away! I can't believe it's coming up so fast. We are trying to prepare for him to come as much as we can. I went to a garage sale and was able to find a ton of baby furniture all in excellent shape for cheap! We were lucky to find what we did. We are still living with my parents so things are getting more and more crowded with baby furniture and stuff. We are hoping to find our own place after the baby is born. I hope everyone is doing good... I check all of your blogs to keep up to date as much as I can! Here are some more pictures of my growing belly!

Here are some pictures from our Christmas. We celebrated on Christmas Eve so that my sister & her family could spend Christmas with her in-laws. We had a wonderful dinner and then little Hunter (my sister's little boy) took over handing out the presents to everyone. Ryan got Guitar Hero which he has not stopped playing! And my sisters spoiled him with Mario Kart which we've all had fun playing. We hope everyone had a great Christmas too!!

IT'S A BOY!!!!

So we finally found out a week ago that we are having a little Ryan Rappleye JR! The ultrasound was so fun to watch. The baby was just moving around like crazy. I'll try scanning the ultrasound pictures in later- there's a good shot of the baby trying to suck his thumb! I was so surprised when I found out it was a boy though. I was positive it was going to be a girl- especially since my sister Sarah is pregnant and we are both completely opposite in the way we're carrying and our diet etc. But, she is having a boy as well! It will be fun to have boys together but I don't know what to do with boys! Everyone says they're easier so I guess I'm safe. Now we just have to start thinking of names...and it's not going to be Edgar :)

Here are some pictures I've been promising of my little belly. I had a Dr. appointment last week and he asked me if I was even pregnant! Some days I don't look pregnant one bit but then there are other days that my sister's won't stop touching my belly because it looks so big. Hope you enjoy!
